There are many factors that go into deciding what to wear for Halloween. There is always deciding on what you want to be and then what you can afford to put into it. There is also the consideration of the time it would take to put it all together.

The costume rental shops are looking for the person who doesn’t have the time or talent to make a costume and there are plenty of rental shops that have something to fit in every ones budget. Rented costume also have more craft in them so they look like professional stage costumes, which give them a more substantial look.

If you know what you want to be than a quarter of the battle is done. If you don’t then you get to start on the first step. Is it going to be a past, present or future character?  Then you will find that cost plays a major role. There are always different tiers of the same costume. One is a more basic version that costs less but will get the job done the other is full features with all the accessories and will cost a little more. It just depends on how much of a statement you want to make for the bucks you spend.
